Arroyo Grande – In cooperation with the San Luis Obispo County Range Improvement Association on November 25, 2019, CAL FIRE San Luis Obispo will be burning approximately 100 acres of invasive Yellow Star Thistle adjacent to Hi. Mountain Road. Smoke may be seen in the area throughout the day.
Creston – In a continued effort to reduce hazardous vegetation, November 26, 2019 and continuing over multiple weeks, burning of hazardous vegetation will occur along the East side of Highway 229 between Hwy 58 and the town of Creston. In cooperation with the SLO County Fire Safe Council and SLO County APCD and local landowners, Firefighters from CAL FIRE will conduct multiple burns which will be part of an ongoing effort to reduce hazardous vegetation.
